Lightning Dance

"May I have this Dance?" He seems to ask and she accepts in a curtsey. Romantic, beautiful, ominous yet inviting. Are we intruding, or do they want everyone to see? A rare gift to capture that was given to me by mother nature. Enjoy our dance! 

This photo was taken at midnight in South Dakota during tornado season. Note the lightning ring to the left - very rare! This is a 45-minute exposure on film. The storm was 40 miles away with only two frames left on the roll.
